| Details: BASIC PURPOSE Assists the Director of Corporate Communications and External Affairs in establishing the Bank’s priority on public policy issues and targets pending legislation and regulation impacting the FHLB of Dallas. To ensure that the FHLB of Dallas effectively maintains and uses its relationships with key industry stakeholders to support the Bank’s priorities and initiatives by serving as a liaison between the Bank and stakeholders including trade associations, industry coalitions and prominent state and national housing groups.  principle accountabilities                                                                                  1. Assist in the development of the Bank’s advocacy strategy and message. Review existing FHLB relationships with key stakeholders; assist in the development and execution of a strategic outreach plan to develop new and strengthen existing relationships that will support the Bank’s programs and initiatives. 2. Develop a thorough knowledge of the leadership and the substantive and operational issues, policies and top priorities of the FHLB of Dallas and all key industry stakeholders. 3. Provide ongoing updates on goals and achievements to supervisor and senior Bank leadership, including the Board of Directors, as needed. 4. Regularly attends and secures appropriate participation for FHLB of Dallas staff and leadership in key industry events including conferences, conventions, summits, coalitions and other notable activities. 5. Ability to develop and deliver presentations to multiple stakeholder groups that convey the Bank’s message. 6. Maintain and enhance the legislative section on the Bank’s website. 7. Help craft and distribute the Bank’s bi-weekly government relations newsletter. 8. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.  JOB SPECIFICATIONS 1. Bachelors and/or graduate degree in business, finance, political science, real estate or other related degree. 2. 5 – 7 years experience in the real estate finance industry, ideally in a policy, government relations or community relations position. 3. Identify existing relationships and/or demonstrate knowledge of key stakeholders in the real estate finance industry including trade associations, and industry coalitions and housing groups preferred. 4. Ability to independently develop and execute a strategic outreach plan to key stakeholders. 5. Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work under pressure and deal effectively with all levels within the Bank. 6. Superior communication, interpersonal, presentation  and analytical skills. 7. Extensive travel required along with the ability to work weekends and evenings when necessary to meet job duties and responsibilities. 8.
